Review of Battle Royale (2000) by nezzkobdamned: 👍 8.7/10

Even in a world where the very novel plot has been diluted by other movie series and the aggressive appropriation of the model in video games, Battle Royale still holds up as something striking and vicious.

It blends all the awkward teen things of school life, the age-old war of respect between the older generation and the youth, and the cold, detached nature of government toward its people.
