Sweet-Natured Drama

Review of Unicorn Store (2019) by nezzkobdamned: 👍 6.7/10

A sweet-natured tale of dealing with failure and clinging to that last shred of childlike wonder. Brie Larson is great, Sam Jackson does well with very little, and Mamoudou Athie is a genuine highlight as Virgil.

It's a bit soft around the edges in terms of pacing and plot, which does somewhat work in its favour given the tone, but it does mean it's sometimes hard to keep focused on it.
