“Impossible to ‘die honorably’ when you already know the outcome.”

After 3 years and 2 days before seeing the sequel, this thing still hits hard. Everything just works and has so much gravity to it. Godzilla being the combined trauma of a single person and a country and a symbol of failure and of deep despair and a fucking focal point for everyone to have one fucking win is god damn inspired.

I love Godzilla movies, and I’ve spent much of those year revisiting most of them…

…but this is the one I deeply and wholeheartedly love.
