Carla Was The Prom Queen

Review of The Rock (1996) by billiamthenerd: 👍 10.0/10

I hate Michael Bay. I think he makes unwatchable slop. HOWEVER he did get it right once or twice and this is one of those films. The Rock is one of the best action films of all time and I don't know how a glorified music video director pulled this off, but he did.

This has a stacked cast and I forget quite often that Tony Todd is in this and he's as menacing as ever. When you watch this film you'll see a ton of other people you recognize that you'll have to go down a very fun IMDB rabbit hole to explore.

This film is goofy and impossible but we don't watch movies like this for realizm, do we? It's quotable and Ed Harris is a very interesting bad guy and the twist right before the final showdown is always a blast to watch.
